My sister may have summed this restaurant up best with "Well, they have really good drinks." I can not speak for all the drinks only one, but the one I had was good and hit the spot. This is a chain restaurant, a bit better than other Mexican chains in the city, but really why bother going to a so/so chain when you can go to a really good hole in the wall practically anywhere in the city. Ok, so most of them do not have a liquor license or only a 3/2 license and that can be a problem when you are craving a margarita. |
It’s hard to say too much good or bad about Acapulco. It is a chain restaurant that does a decent job with the chimichangas, warm tortilla chips, and not-too-hot salsa. It will do well as long as it sticks to that formula and maintains quality control on food and service at a reasonable price. We had a good experience there, but do not overly endorse it. We realize this is not our typical restaurant, but we tried it based on the recommendation of one of our reader’s e-mail suggestions. Sometimes the suggestions are diamonds in the rough, other times they are ordinary but pleasant agates. |
