Steve’s Note: At the end of 2005, I expanded top Asian restaurants, but felt uneasy about the whole thing. I was comparing Chinese with Japanese and Thai and Vietnamese, and it all got to be too confusing. Throw in Asian Fusion and anybody's bound to give up. So, after looking at the list again, I've realized that we've been to enough different Asian types to reorganize the list by different cuisines, generally countries. Note that many Asian restaurants have a Chinese menu along with other food types (like Thai or Vietnamese), but we generally don't order Chinese when it isn't the restaurant's focus. Finally, I know it's not geographically correct, but I don't include Indian or Middle Eastern/Mediterranean on the list. That's simply out of convention. If someone on the street were to ask what my favorite Asian restaurant was, they generally wouldn't want me to list off my favorite Indian restaurants, even though it would be geographically on the Asian continent. Rants? Questions? Send us an e-mail.
