Yum. The is not much more to say. Everything I tasted was excellent. The meatball sub was amazing the sauce, the meatballs, the bread all exactly like you would expect and Italian grandma to make them. Steve's lasagna was also fantastic, and I am usually not a fan of lasagna. The dessert we had was breath-taking, light airy whipped cream in a light pastry shell, you barely even knew you ate anything it was so light.

The only bad thing is this is take out only, but if you know that going in you will be fine.

I think even Renee would agree that this is one place worth the drive outside the 494-694 loop for lunch, not that she drove to pick up lunch. Brianno’s Deli has one of the better lasagnas in town. The lasagna is meaty with enough ricotta for flavor, but not too much to overpower the meal. I can’t say I’ve done an exhaustive search, but I can’t remember a better one. The Brianno’s staff really packed in a hungry man-sized portion, a real bargain given the price, even if the staff was a little surly working on a Sunday afternoon. The dessert was also authentic Italian heaven. If you live south of the river, you owe it to yourself to stop by Brianno’s for some outstanding Italian takeout.
