Burger Jones is a great family place and that was plain to see when we went New Year's Day at 5pm. It was already hopping. It had TVs with the game on and a full bar, so it was bar grillish, but you did not feel like you were in a bar.

The burger was good, not amazing. A little big, but it was priced fairly high. The mushrooms were many, but they were uncut so they rolled off the burger as you tried to eat so that was annoying. Everything was a al carte so the fries were extra and they were ok, probably not needed with the size of the burger.

There are many better burger places in the metro area, so I would not go back.

Burger Jones appears to be cashing in on the fancy burger craze, and the full bar is a draw in itself. The place was very busy on New Year’s Day. But when you realize that you’re paying a la carte for fries and a premium for a basic burger, it doesn’t look like a great value after all. The Hangover burger was good: a good beef patty with good bacon and a simple fried egg. The three onion rings were thick, round onion rings that were average at best. Both seemed overpriced.

The ambiance, with a bar and televisions in every direction, is comparable to Buffalo Wild Wings. Burger Jones has cheeky t-shirts like Hooters (albeit loose-fitting) and Chipotle-like décor. There’s very little unique about the restaurant; it’s an amalgamation of different concepts. In short, I think that this concept could be sold to Buffalo Wild Wings, and BWW could grow the business rapidly before the fancy burger craze fades away.
