This is one of the great Chinese/Taiwanese restaurants in our city. The decor is not much, but the wait staff are friendly and the food is fantastic. The steamed dumplings were some of the best I have had and I have had a lot of steamed dumplings. The noodle dish was different, I have never had anything quite like it and it was a amazing array of flavors that I truly enjoyed. If you like Chinese, I would highly recommend Evergreen. |
Run, don’t walk, to Evergreen Taiwanese. No, really, do it. Do it, do it, do it. As far as ambiance, this is a basic, clean, bright, simple Chinese restaurant with plastic table covers and the Chinese signs of the Zodiac. It’s in an odd downstairs (not handicapped accessible) location. But that’s where basic ends and excellence begins. How much would you pay for a perfectly cooked sea bass in a downtown seafood restaurant? Divide by two and a half, add a brilliantly refreshing peanut topping, and you have Evergreen Taiwanese. Oh, and the steamed dumplings were excellent as well. Evergreen is the type of place that you order anything on the menu and it is bound to be excellent. |
