Himalayan is a great neighborhood restaurant. I would love to have it mine, but alas it is not. It was a welcoming restaurant. It is hard to do that. But when you find one it is nice. I really liked both the platter of appetizers which was crazy for the price and my entree which was very nicely done, the chicken was tender and the curry sauce flavorful. If you happen to be in the neighborhood, I would check it out. |
This is a borderline good-to-excellent restaurant, and the amazing Himalayan Platter lifts the restaurant to excellent. The variety and quality of appetizers on the platter were fantastic. Renee’s mixed curry was better than the lamb choyala, which I really expected more from. The service is good, and I was happy to see that the neighborhood looks to be supporting this restaurant. The ambiance is Franklin Avenue, which is unabashedly eclectic, and I hope that Himalayan can thrive in its current location. |
