India House is in the old New Dehli on Nicollet and when I went to look up their website, I found that it was no longer there and suspended so I told Steve that we may be the last to review New Delhi. When we arrived we found out that it is now India House so we are probably the first to review it, but hopefully not the last. One nice thing about India House is they do serve cocktails which is still a bit unique in this area for an Indian restaurant. I thought the samosas were better than average. The naan was very good. My entree's sauce was excellent and I have had better veggie dumplings at other places. I would probably not go back just because we have as good Indian closer to home, but if you live in that area, you might want to check it out. |
We had a decent meal at India House. It is the old New Delhi Restaurant on Nicollet Avenue under new management. They kept the same phone number, but there’s no sign of them on the web yet. That was a little disconcerting, but it turned out well. I would say everything we had was good, not great, and priced right. The Chicken Vindaloo was in a good sauce that was spicy as ordered (not Indian spicy, I’m not ready for that yet). As an added bonus, we enjoyed excellent people watching on Nicollet Avenue . It was a diverse and entertaining mix of people. |
