As you walk into this Egyptian restaurant you feel like you are walking into a 70's family restaurant
which in many ways adds to the charm. The menu was a combination of Middle Eastern food with plenty of American choices.
Not being very adventurous this particular evening and part out of curiosity I ordered the Shrimp and Steak dinner
for $11.95 it was one of the better deals in the city. The steak was bone in and was cooked as ordered the shrimp were done fine
as well. |
This is a good Middle Eastern restaurant in south Minneapolis. It is a no-frills restaurant. The interior reminded me of a '70s family restaurant decor. The kibbi dinner with tabouli was quite good. It was served with rice, vegetable, and pita bread. Although everything was good, we probably would not go back. This is partly a function of distance, partly that we don't frequent Middle Eastern restaurants very often. A final note: belly dancing was advertised, but there was no belly dancer on the Saturday night we visited. |
