Los Mojarras was a good Mexican restaurant in an area teeming with them. The atmosphere is not that great, but the food is good quality and well made.

My fish tacos were good and they made me want to take a trip to the west coast and have some more. These were made with catfish and as is typical you could easily taste that you were eating fish, which I don't mind, because you are eating fish. I liked the sauce that was served on the side a bit spicy, but not overpowering. The chips served with the meal were homemade which was nice, but ours may have been a bit old. The salsa that came with had a nice kick. Our son's kids meal was good and arrived at the table quickly. Overall, we had a good experience, but would probably not go back as there are so many others in the area to try.

I really enjoyed the food at Las Mojarras, but our son cut into the enjoyment of the overall dining experience for us and everyone else. We arrived at around 5 p.m., and another table with three children under 3 excited our son and they fed off of each other. The staff accommodated us well, bringing out the kidís meal right away and asking several times if everything was okay, but some times thereís only so much they can do.

The kidís quesadilla was your basic cheese in a flour tortilla and came with some delicious, crunchy fries. Simple, but a great kidís menu item.

The Hawaiian Rellena Mariscos was a half of a pineapple carved out, filled with an abundant array of shrimp, crab, scallops, calamari, fish, and baked pineapple in a cream sauce. The seafood was delicious, well prepared. The cream sauce was a nice, balanced sauce that magically worked well with the seafood and pineapple. A side of rice was standard filler. The side salad was made of fresh, crisp lettuce, sliced radishes and cucumbers, and shredded carrots. The salad dressing was light and good. Overall, because of the generous amount of seafood and salad, I was okay with the otherwise hefty price for Mexican food. We probably wonít be going back any time soon, but itís worth a try if you donít live far away (ample parking is available in a lot in the rear).
