An institution in the Minneapolis area. Although I am not sure as to what kind of institution it is exactly. Everything was very expensive
as expected. The steaks themselves were great, the service was excellent, but everything else was lax for the money you pay.
If you are "lucky" enough to sit in one of the two person booths between the wall and the main aisle and right in front of the dish and water
area, one of the first things you will notice are stains and such on the wallpaper. Not a big deal perhaps, but when you pay on average $30 for a steak... |
I recommend reservations. The restaurant is quite busy most nights of the week, and it was packed when we left at approximately 7:30 PM on a Saturday. My Beef Filet was excellent, but I've had just as good of a steak for much less. The steak was properly aged and steeped in butter, as were the mushrooms (which are invariably overpriced at most restaurants). My cheesecake was excellent. The piece was are too big, however, and one half the piece at one half the price would have been better. |
