This was really good Thai, I really am glad we went there even though it is across town for us. I really enjoyed the trio of curries, what a nice idea for those of us who can not decide, no need to, just order trio which gives you a bit of the green, red and massaman. I personally liked the green the best, but I usually do. Also everything in it was very fresh the veggies and tofu were above average. The prices were a little high, but they are serving organic, free range meat, veggies and tofu so the extra cost is worth it, especially if that is important to you. If I am in the Linden Hills area I now have a go to restaurant.
I was really impressed with Naviya's. The crispy shrimp spring rolls were good, although the price was a little high for spring rolls. I would recommend trying somehting different unless you're really a fan of crispy rolls. But I was stunned with how good the Massaman curry with beef shank was. The curry itself was a delicious blend of spices and very smooth. The beef shank was tender and flavorful. This is a really good Thai restaurant, probably not the best we have been to, but it's going on my Top Asian list right away.
If you go, there is parking on the street and in a lot on the west side of the Dunn Brothers next door to Naviya's. The decor is modern and comfortable. Service was attentive when we visited, which was early on a Sunday night. The restaurant only holds about 35-40 people, and it looks like they do a lot of takeout business, too. There are probably waits at peak times.
