Ok, so going to any restaurant that is reasonably good at 6:30 on a Saturday is not a good idea. And it was not a good idea with two children this Saturday night either. If we had been alone it would have been a much better experience. We were seated fairly quickly, but it took a long time to get our food. Now I am going to venture this is because they did not have enough people cooking, which may be good because the person who was cooking is a genius. We did not leave the restaurant until 8:30 so we probably did not get our food until 7:45-8:00. So that is how good the food was that I am still willing to rave about it after that. Even my son, who unfortunately is a typical american child and has an unexplained affinity for mac and cheese said the pad thai was better than mac and cheese…that was some pad thai. My green curry was spectacular, it was not too sweet which it often is and perfectly balanced. I am not sure I would say I would go back again and wait that long for the food with two boys, but I would wait that long without two boys and perhaps if we went at a better time the wait would be much more reasonable.

The Pad Suki-Yaki was truly amazing. On's has one of the best pad thais in town, right up there with Bangkok Thai Deli and Lemon Grass Thai. Unfortunately, the service was poor on the night that we visited. The restaurant, which is not very big, was full and we were considering going elsewhere. We could see many people at tables with bored/frustrated postures and looks on their faces. We could see that many tables did not have food on them, indicating a rush had come through. But we were equally disappointed that the staff took a long time to get to the table initially, and they took a long time to get two basic drinks (about 20 minutes after being seated). The meal took almost two hours, which was a very long time to entertain our young children, and a very long time for Thai food. Takeout might be an option, and I hope they can turn things around, but we won't be back until they fix service issues.
