Ruam Mit Thai Cafe is an example of a very good local Asian restaurant. I don't think I would go very far to visit, but it would be a staple restaurant if I lived within a fifteen minute drive. The appetizer we ordered was unique to our dining experiences so far. Marinated shrimp was wrapped in like an egg roll and deep fried. The result was tasty, and maybe this is something we'll try at home. If possible, I would have added a small amount shredded carrots or cabbage to give it a crunchy, egg roll texture. My entree was also well-prepared. I was looking for something a little spicy, but not too hot. It turned out that the sauce in my dish was sweet, but it had jalapeno peppers for spice. This turned out to be a good combination, because I could eat the jalapenos I wanted and leave the ones I didn't want. I have no complaints about the food preparation or service. One item of note, the portion sizes are enough for one person, but not as large as many Asian restaurants. |
