Sparks is a newish restaurant in the Bryn Mawr neighborhood, where quite frankly I am surprised there are not more restaurants. Now granted we were there fairly early, but there was no one there when we arrived and one came in at sat at the bar while we were there so maybe they do not need restaurants there?
The restaurant was pretty good. My chicken was good, although maybe a bit expensive for just chicken. There was no veggie with it which was a bit odd, but not a huge deal. The children's meal were very good and Steve's salmon was some of the best I have had in recent memory.
I enjoyed my Scottish Salmon with Warm Tarragon-Dijon Potato Salad (their sourcing must have changed from the time they posted the online menu). It was a decent size cut, the texture was meaty, and the flavor was buttery. It was all that you normally expect from salmon. The potatoes were a nice, hearty accompaniment. The kids' grilled cheese and cheesy pasta were also delicious. If you go, the restaurant is in a wonderful, renovated space with glass garage doors that must open up in the summer. On street parking was readily available when we went, but it's hard to tell what it's like when it's busy because we were the first patrons for dinner when we went.
