Strip club was very much anticipated I have heard so many good things about it. I really liked the space it was a bit loud and if you are going on Saturday at 7pm you had better have reservations. My meal was good, but nothing I would necessarily have to have again. The poutine probably was a mistake, it was good, but not amazing and really when is poutine ever amazing. My scallops were cooked correctly and tasted fine, but did not blow me away. I don't think I would go back. |
I appreciate what Strip Club does in many ways. Strip Club is a very good steak house in a neighborhood location. The renovated neighborhood bar has the feel that it has been there a century and some creative minds breathed new life into the space. In other ways, it feels like another steak house charging steak house prices in a market full of good steak houses, only that you don't have to drive downtown and pay for parking. The fried oysters were delicious, and I would order them again. The filet mignon was expensive, and the toppings that they offered were also expensive. I really liked the crimini mushrooms and the price for the sauce accompaniment almost seemed worth it. The steak was correctly prepared and a good cut of meat. The service was good. After a minimal wait, we sat upstairs near a large group of twenty-somethings. I was impressed at how much the servers had to work to go up and down the stairs. Overall, I am glad we went to Strip Club, but it's hard to go there consistently (unless we lived closer) because there are so many steak places in the Twin Cities. |
